MARTIN LORENZ, PERCUSSIONIST/COMPOSER
born 1974 in Switzerland, he completed his studies in classical percussion at Konservatorium und MusikhochschuleZürich, Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Conservatoire National de Région Rueil-Malmaison, Paris.
His interrest for music theatre lead him to masterclasses by Jean-Pierre Drouet and Georges Aperghis.
Martin Lorenz works as a freelance musician in the field of contemporary music and collaborated with the composers
Beat Fehlmann, Edu Haubensak, Sam Hayden, Mischa Käser, Daniel Mouthon, Daniel Weissberg, Alfred Zimmerlin
which wrote works for him.
He is involved in multimedia projects, music theatre and electronic music.
As a composer Martin Lorenz is mostly self thought. His work reflects his musical background and interests:
classocal music, contemporary music and electronic music of all kinds.
Martin Lorenz is a member of the ensemble Collegium Novum Zürich.
He has given concerts all over Europe as well as Egypt, Japan and China,
Lucerne Festival and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival
